Although the borough remains well-known as an industrial town, the addition of many technology companies and a growing residential population has changed the landscape of this central New Jersey town.
Located on the southern bank of the Raritan River, Sayreville enjoys close proximity to several major roadways - the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike, I-287, and Routes 1, 9 and 35. The easy access to transportation thoroughfares has led many families to relocate from New York City and more crowded areas in the north.
Sayreville boasts a variety of housing options, from quiet suburban streets to large apartment complexes. Many of the borough's luscious parks, including Kennedy Park, offer playgrounds, athletic fields, fishing and boating.
Since its establishment in 1920, Sayreville has been known as a choice location for industry and business, and now for homeowners.
