Northstar Café to open at Zimmerli This September the Zimmerli Museum will be welcoming a change to the Café. Restaurateur John Risley will be opening The Northstar Café at the Zimmerli. For those who are not familiar with it, The Northstar Café at 25 Liberty offers Mediterranean cuisine and has a wonderful reputation for fine food and service. The Café will be open seven days and will be serving a great variety of salads, specialty sandwiches and some of The Northstar's favorites. Risley has a unique relationship and commitment to the cultural centers in New Jersey. He has been a past board member of the George Street Playhouse and was the recipient of the Applause Award in 2002. He currently owns the Carriage House Restaurant, located at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, and is responsible for the catering at that theater. Risley will be working with The Northstar Café staff to create exciting menus for First Thursdays, opening nights and special events for the 2003-2004 season.
